#7- Shrieker (David DeCoteau; 1998)
by Dan Kinem

Shrieker is a fairly by-the-books teenage slasher movie (featuring a two-headed monster and some satanic writing and all that other bullshit) but one with an interesting setting. It takes place inside an abandoned hospital where apparently about 6 or so college students have taken to living. To be honest, I cared more about the relationship stuff between the characters than I did about any of the monster stuff. Once that started to happen it was pretty standard fare so I wasn’t too entertained. Five of the six kids would receive this satanic writing in note-form and be killed off one by one until the 6th and final one was shown to be the two-headed monster’s master. Slightly enjoyable film that wasn’t too painful to watch. Worth watching if you ever want a normal decent late 90s slasher.

It was another DeCoteau film and strangely (or not so strangely) he went under the pseudonym Victoria Sloan. It came out a little late for our tastes (1998), but we couldn’t help but pick up another Full Moon movie, especially since it included a VIDEOZONE! Such a great bonus that takes you behind the scenes on the movie and shows you tons of terrible looking trailers (some of which we even went and found and bought).

I would kill for these! So fucking cool, especially that Japanese Exclusive on the right.
